Black Dog Ride's iconic annual 1 Dayer aims to start a national conversation about depression and suicide prevention. Help us get the country talking and join your local 1 Dayer on 17th March 2024.

8 Australians take their lives every single day, that's one Aussie every 3 hours losing their life to the black dog.

On the third Sunday of March, Black Dog Ride is uniting under one banner with one voice on one single day to amplify a national message of hope, awareness and prevention. Let's get the conversation started, register for the Black Dog Ride 1 Dayer 2024 today!

Ride Registration:

By registering, you will also receive your rider kit upon check-in on the day at the ride, which includes:

  • 1 Dayer patch
  • Round 1 Dayer 2024 participation bike sticker
  • 'Black Dog Rider' bike sticker

Please Note: Online ticket sales for this event will close at 10am AEDT on Sunday 17th March 2024.

Ride Itinerary:

8:30am Check in & registration at the Port Macquarie Service Centre - back carport on the highway

10:00am Stands up and ride departs for Beechwood Tavern for a 45 min stop.

Lunch will be at Long Flat Tavern

2:00pm Departing for Wauchope, Laurieton & Bonny Hills

Finish is at Bonnie Hills Tavern for raffles and drinks

Full Route: 

  1. Heading up the Pacific Highway to Telegraph Point, turn left onto Pembrooke Rd heading to Beechwood Tavern, 45min stop. 
  2. Then heading off to Rosewood road right on the Oxley highway to Long Flat Tavern for lunch.
  3. Leaving the tavern at 2:00pm heading back down the Oxley highway to Bago Road in Wauchope, heading down highway to Kew turn off.
  4. Down through Laurieton up the coast road to Bonny Hills Tavern for raffles and drinks

Ride Preparation

It is imperative that riders ensure their bike is registered, roadworthy, and in proper working order, ready for the significant distance ride ahead. It is also imperative that riders and pillion passengers are fit and well enough for the journey. Black Dog Ride does not take responsibility for these matters.
