Event description
Thank you for your interest in our Community discussion panel on climate!

Our Panelists are locals from diverse political leanings and walks of life, bringing in different perspectives, concerns, and solutions.
WHO?

Why now? Community members may be aware that Port Macquarie- Hastings Council has recently rescinded its previous Climate Emergency Declaration. However, fewer people know that Council is moving toward revoking Council's general Climate Policy. This prompted several Councillors (Sheppard, Lipovac, Edwards and Intemann) to organise a respectful and fact-based community discussion on climate in the local context, as a basis for constructive action into the future. (**Please note that this is not a ‘Council’ event. Rather, these Councillors consider this issue is of sufficient community interest that this event is organised independently.**)
