Port of Melbourne Boat Tours 2024
Event description
Port of Melbourne tours are fun, family-friendly events and the best way to see Australia’s busiest port, right on the city’s doorstep. Featuring guided commentary from port staff, you’ll see the port from a whole new angle. Port of Melbourne is Australia’s largest container and general cargo port and a vital trade gateway – whether sending Australian grain to Guangzhou or bringing us coffee from Colombia. We charge a modest ticket fee that is donated to Mission to Seafarers Victoria and Stella Maris Seafarer Centre who support the thousands of seafarers who spend months at sea bringing goods to us every day of the year.
- Tours run 10:00 am, and 1:00 pm across three dates (please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to tour time and bring an electronic or paper copy of your ticket):Â
- Saturday 26 October
- Saturday 9 November
- Saturday 16 November
- Running for approximately 90 minutes in groups of up to 220 people. Duration is subject to weather conditions and making way for commercial vessels if required. Allow up to 30 minutes for boarding and disembarking.
- Bookings are required for all guests, including infants and children.
- No food or drink is allowed on the boat (water bottles permitted).
- Please contact us to discuss accessibility requirements.
- Ticket proceeds will be donated to Mission to Seafarers and Stella Maris.
Meet on the wharf at Victoria Harbour. The boat is parked in front of Harbour Kitchen. Look for the Port of Melbourne banners and the Magic Charter Kingfisher II Catamaran.Â
This is an all-weather event but it can be cold and windy on the water. Comfortable shoes and a warm jacket are recommended.
A limited number of children's activities will be available and parent or carer supervision is required at all times. Â
