Event description

Join us for this special event which brings together a local environmentalist and a local artist.

Together we will discover and learn the story of the Port River. Understand the history, ecology and environmental importance of this local ecosystem.

Sit and sketch while soaking up this new knowledge.

Catherine McMahon, Estuary Care Foundation, will talk about the environmental significance of our local waterway.

While Local artist and art teacher, Kaz Pedersen, will be on hand to guide your sketching and provide useful pointers and direction.

See the river in a new way - get up close to the little details of the mangroves, soak up a broader landscape view, or sketch a natural river bank of the past.

This event is suitable for adults of all drawing abilities - from total beginners to those with more experience.
