Ipswich artists have an opportunity to join Laura Brinin to learn about Portfolio Presentation for Visual Artists. Approaching galleries for the first time can be a daunting part of your professional creative practice. It is hard to know the "right" etiquette to ensure you present yourself in the best possible way. In this workshop, curator Laura Brinin takes you through the basics of understanding the exhibition process and how best to introduce yourself and your practice to galleries. This includes finding galleries that align with your style and values and how to put your best work forward to impress the gallery teams.

About Laura:
Laura Brinin is a curator of contemporary art, currently facilitating the program at Side Gallery in Red Hill, Brisbane. Laura is passionate about building relationships with emerging and established creatives, as well as providing opportunities for practice development through social media, branding and identity.
Laura has exhibited her own work both in Australia and overseas, as well as working as an independent freelance curator across Brisbane for over ten years. During her time off, you can find her reading, travelling, or stalking dogs.
This workshop is part of Ipswich City Council's creative industries development program ARTiculate. Attendees are to be residents of Ipswich Local Government Area, workshop fees have been subsidised by Ipswich City Council.
