Event description
Portrait Exchange is a drawing event bringing people together to create and exchange art.
Draw and be drawn: exchange portraits with new and familiar faces. Make and receive art, unwind, yarn, experiment and connect.
We welcome experimental approaches to portraiture and/or drawing that maintain the spirit of gift-giving, connection and creative exchange.
Portrait Exchange is facilitated by local artist Jaslyn Brown who can assist with anything drawing-related. Basic art materials are provided.
Live Sounds🤝Live Art-making
For our monthly El Faro Gallery sessions, Portrait Exchange collaborates with local DJs, musicians and sound-based creatives to contribute live improvised offerings to the exchange, colouring each drawing session with a different soundscape.
This November we welcome back Fluffy who will be cooking up some squishy surround-sound wizardry to draw to alongside multi-instrumentalist Flynn Quinlan 🫧
