Portsea Back Beach to Quarantine Station - Mid Pace/Fitness Hiker 12km
Event description
Mid Pace / Fitness Hiker - Event Leaders: Taryn & Michael
Who This Hike Is Perfect For:
This event is ideal for Mid Pace and Fitness Hikers who enjoy walking with purpose and confidence. To make the experience enjoyable for everyone, two leaders will be present so we can comfortably accommodate both pace groups while still staying connected as one group.
Please note:
This hike includes several inclines, sandy sections, and uneven terrain.
Because of this, it’s not suitable for beginners or those who haven’t walked regularly. We want everyone to feel safe, supported, and able to enjoy the experience without discomfort - so if you’re very new to hiking, we recommend starting with one of our gentler community hikes first.
⭐ Hike Overview
Join us this Saturday for a stunning coastal and historic adventure!
We’ll begin at the Portsea Surf Life Saving Club, making our way along the breathtaking Farnsworth Track, taking in sweeping ocean views and stopping at the dramatic London Bridge rock formation.
From there, we’ll continue into the iconic Point Nepean National Park, looping through the historic Portsea Quarantine Station, where we’ll stop for 25 minutes for coffee and a light snack - the perfect moment to recharge and explore.
