Port Townsend Bay Tours 2024


Event description

Explore Port Townsend from the water as you cruise around Port Townsend Bay aboard our comfortable catamaran, Admiral Jack. While our knowledgeable crew shares the history of our charming village-by-the-sea, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the seafaring wildlife that inhabits our coastal waters and indulge in views of the Olympic and Cascade mountains. Tours are one hour in length—a great summer activity for all ages!

Please purchase your ticket online in advance to ensure your spot on the tour. Walk-up availability may be limited; last-minute tickets can be purchased in the Welcome Center, located at 431 Water St, Port Townsend, if space allows. Kids age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

2024 Tour Information

June 28–August 31 | All tours are 1 hour in length.

Times*:
  • Fridays: 2:30 pm & 4:30 pm
  • Saturdays: 2:30 pm & 4:30 pm

*Some tours may be canceled or postponed due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If we need to cancel a tour, we will offer the choice of rescheduling or receiving a full refund. If you need to cancel, please refer to our cancellation policy.

Pricing:
  • Adults (age 13 & up): $22
  • Youth (age 5-12): $12
  • Child (under age 5): free
Please meet on the First Fed Commons at the head of the Northwest Maritime Dock, 431 Water Street, Port Townsend, WA.

Private Tour:

Treat your group to a private tour of Port Townsend Bay. We can accommodate groups of up to 30 onboard Admiral Jack. Private Tour options include:

  • Buyout of a regularly-scheduled 1-hour tour | $500
  • 3-hour private charter | $1,100

Accessibility:

Passengers with limited mobility or other disabilities are welcome aboard Admiral Jack. All passengers will need to make their way down an elevated wood pier and a sloping ramp, with up to 1:5.5 slope at low tide. Admiral Jack is accessed from a floating dock. There is a large step up from the dock to the boat, across a gap. The entry door is 27.5” wide, with a sill height of 6”. When moving about the boat, the minimum clearance is 24.5". There is ample bench seating on board, with grab bars and other places to stabilize yourself. The crew is available for boarding assistance. We will provide written tour information for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
