Positive Behaviour Support: Understanding Behaviour & Building Positive Outcomes (Foundation)
Description
This foundation-level twilight session introduces the key principles and values of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and explores how behaviour can be understood as a form of communication. Participants will consider the factors that influence behaviour and learn how proactive, consistent approaches can help build positive relationships, increase engagement and support wellbeing. The session will focus on creating supportive environments that reduce barriers to learning and participation, enabling children and young people to thrive. Through practical examples and reflection on everyday practice, staff will develop their understanding of how positive, relationship-based approaches can promote inclusion and improve outcomes for all learners.
This module has been accredited by the NCFE and can be considered when working towards the NCFE Award. Participants are required to complete five modules, including the mandatory module.
