Event description

RMIT University is pleased to announce the new Post-Carbon Research Centre: Transforming infrastructure and the built environment, uniquely designed to address the complex challenges of decarbonising the built environment and infrastructure, to transform to a sustainable, equitable and resilient future through transition, design and production. The Centre brings together multi-disciplinary research capabilities across the built environment and infrastructure sectors, combining expertise from Design, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Computer and Geospatial Science, and the Social Sciences.

With the aim of generating transformative action, the Centre will translate across context by integrating creative, technical, socio-cultural, and industry sector knowledge and work towards making our homes, workplaces, neighbourhoods, and cities truly sustainable. This requires a close and new form of partnership between academia, government, industry and civil society, to form radically different knowledge creation/implementation models in our innovation system and to rapidly prototype and scale up solutions.

DSC and STEM colleges are pleased to invite you to a networking event with members of the new Post-Carbon Research Centre. We will be outlining the membership options and plans for the centre, with the opportunity to meet the inaugural Centre Director Priya Rajagopalan, and Deputy Director Jonathan Tran.

The meeting will be catered.
