Postcard Society - Transitions
Description
Before social media, people gathered in societies to share and exchange postcards that captured important moments, memories, and stories. Inspired by this tradition, we welcome you to our Postcard Society, a creative space designed to help you slow down, reflect, and connect with moments that matter.
Experiment with collage and watercolour, and create a personal postcard expression that holds inspiration and insight for the week ahead. Each session explores a different theme and weaves in art therapy-informed practices to help you find meaning in what you create.
Whether you’re interested in creativity, self-expression, personal growth, connecting with others or simply looking for a little breathing room during the week, this workshop offers a supportive space to pause, reflect, and create without pressure or expectations.
This is our very first gathering for this workshop and we're excited for it! Bring someone along and let's build Healesville's creative scene together.
What to Expect
Guided warm-in and group reflection
Intuitive art-making through collage and watercolour
Thoughtfully curated selection of materials, images, and words
Space to slow down and explore what feels meaningful and alive

Take home a postcard-sized artwork that holds insight and inspiration
Small group size of up to 12 attendees
Come as you are - no art experience is needed to attend

About the Host
The Postcard Society is run by registered Creative Arts Therapist Amanda Ng of Beyond Valleys Art Therapy in Healesville. Amanda provides art therapy both in person and online, and is passionate about creating accessible, welcoming spaces in our community where everyone can experience the therapeutic benefits of creativity.
