Postcards from North Adelaide Exhibition Opening

The City of Adelaide's North Adelaide Community Centre and Library hosted artist in residence, Louise Flaherty, January - June 2025. As part of this residency community members were invited to attend workshops to create postcards representing what they love about North Adelaide. There were 5 community workshops, and 4 workshops held with students from North Adelaide Primary School, with nearly 150 postcards created in total. Join us for the opening of the Postcards from North Adelaide Exhibition, featuring these hand drawn and painted postcards as well as works created by Louise of plants growing in North Adelaide. Louise will give a brief talk about her residency and a new musical score, created specifically for the residency by musician/composer Belinda Gehlert, will be heard publicly for the first time. Nibbles and drinks will be served on arrival with formalities commencing at 6pm.
