Postpartum Mama Circle (Winter)

Motherhood can be deeply beautiful—and also overwhelming, isolating and emotionally intense in ways many women aren’t prepared for.

At Mama Folk, we create small, supportive spaces where mothers in the early years of parenting can slow down, connect deeply and feel more held in their experience.

The Postpartum Mama Circles offer a gentle, supportive space to slow down and:

• share your experience of birth and early motherhood, if you choose to

• explore the changes in identity, relationships and sense of self that can accompany becoming a mother

• gently notice the expectations and messages surrounding motherhood, while making space for your own values and way of mothering

• experience being listened to and supported alongside other women, without comparison, judgement or unsolicited advice

There is no expectation that you will have motherhood figured out by the end of six weeks. Motherhood keeps changing, and so do we. The circle simply offers a place to slow down, notice what is here, and be alongside other women as you find your own way through this transition.

+ Babies <12 months welcome

+ Held in a home-based space in Bendigo (address provided after booking)

WHO THIS IS FOR?

This circle is for mothers (and babies) in the first year of parenting (whether it is a first baby or not) who are:

+ craving connection with other mothers

+ wanting space to reflect and process their experience

+ looking for something a little different (or an extension of) a typical mother-baby group

+ simply wanting a more supported transition into motherhood

There is no pressure to share anything you’re not comfortable with.

Simply come as you are.
