Event description

Please join us, Potatoes Tasmania, Doug Clark (TIA) and Tim Walker (PotatoLink) for an opportunity to debrief the 25-26 season; discuss what went well, and where the challenges were, and what growers could improve to get good potato crops next season.

This will be a social meeting without formal presentation. We will reflect and have good chat your topics of interest. This cold cover crop rotation, soil prep, seed health and handling, crop health management, nutrition, weeds as disease hosts, volunteer potatoes, biosecurity, markets and more. This event is supported by Potatoes Tasmania and the Resilient Farming Tas Program which works to assist farmers build business resilience. The program's focus is on one - on - one coaching to develop individual plans.

There’ll also be an opportunity to hear a quick wrap up of potato topics from the Hort Connections Conference and to talk with Doris Blaesing, Tim Walker, Doug Clark, Bonnie Kenner and fellow growers.

Event Schedule:

  • 12PM: Lunch

  • 12.30PM: Fresh Market Grower meeting with Bonnie Kenner

  • 3.30PM: Open to all potato growers – Looking back to plan forward

  • 5PM: Light dinner (BBQ or Pizza) and chat
