Event description

This 2 hour event brings together the beautiful textures and shapes of the botanical or coastal world with a functional pottery plate to be used as a serving dish, plate or homeware. This workshop is suitable for 14 yrs and up.

Participants will  use a creamy white clay and a variety of tools to create a rustic plate shape. You will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of botanical leaves, nuts, flowers or shells (please feel free to bring anything from home) etc,  to imprint. Once your plate has been created you will then use underglaze paint to bring the texture and botanical or coastal prints to life with colour.

Sarah will lead you through this workshop at the perfect venue of Arteyrea.

Once your plate has been completed, it will spend up to 2 weeks drying, then I will bisque fire them, clear glaze them, then glaze fire, averaging 4 to 6 weeks before having them available for your collection.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you create.

I will provide tea, coffee and some nibbles.

This workshop can be offered for private functions and group bookings, team bonding work events, girls night in initiatives, hens party. Feel free to share your ideas and i will accommodate where i can. 😊

Minimum of 15 required.
