Pottery make a breaky set mug workshop SALT
Event description
This 2hour creative, hands on workshop will lead participants through handbuilding a clay mug or tumbler as well as either a bowl or small plate using the pinch pot method (making 2 pieces each). Participants will create their own breakfast set tailored to your morning routine. I will have letters, botanical leaves, and shapes as well as shells that you can gently imprint, to add your creative flare. Suitable for ages 16 years and up.Â
We will be using a beautiful Australian clay that finishes as a light warm brown with a light black iron speckle.Â
I will have some sample glaze options for participants to choose from. Your will not glaze.or paint your mug in thos session. I will take care of that once you choose your colour preference.
Your mug will then dry, i will fire it, glaze it, then send it for it's final firing before being ready for collection.
The amazing space at Jumpship brewing n Port Lincoln is the perfect venue, as part of the SALT FestivalÂ
If your ready to take that next step in actually making your own breakfast set then this is the workshop for you. Grab a group of friends, your partner, Mum, Dad, sister, brother or enjoy the experience on your own.
Your finished piece will be ready in 5 to 6 weeks after the workshop.
