Event description
Nau mai, haere mai ki Tūhono Taonga, Tūhono Tāngata.
We're a community-based, pounamu carving school.
Come along and join us for a fun day of learning, connection (and a bit of hard mahi).
Throughout this wānanga you will be guided through the practice of sanding, polishing and binding taonga, walking away with a pounamu necklace of your very own!
During our time together you will learn about the history of pounamu, the tikanga around working with it and its value to Māori. Alongside this you will have the opportunity to chat and connect with others.
Our kaiako/facilitators offer a safe space and are passionate about encouraging others to share their full authentic self.
So if you're interested in experiencing something unique, fulfilling and uplifting; grab a ticket while you can!
Tihei mauri ora!
