What’s it about?

Poverty is a problem all across Wales, but what is it and what impact does it have on Welsh communities?

Join our essential overview training to better understand what poverty is, how it affects people and communities, and to consider your organisation’s strategic response.

You can take this course on its own, or join it as part of a bundle with our session on building a local profile of poverty on 30 September.

What you’ll learn

By attending this course, you will:

Understand what poverty is, and how it affects people in Wales and local communities.
Understand how widespread poverty is today and the people at greatest risk of poverty.
Gain an appreciation of the lasting consequences of living in poverty for people and communities.
Consider strategic responses to poverty.

The training will benefit staff from any organisation which wants to enhance its understanding of poverty in Wales.

The training will be delivered in English via Teams.

Cost

The course can be booked as a stand-alone session or as a bundle with the session on building a local profile of poverty.

Single session:

Subscriber special: £65 (plus booking fee)
Standard: £90 (plus booking fee)

Bundle:

Subscriber special: £110 (plus booking fee)
Standard: £160 (plus booking fee)
