More than 60,000 SA households live below the poverty line including more than 22,000 children. Poverty and homelessness have a multidimensional impact on the dignity and quality of life.

This forum will explore the current status of child and youth poverty and homelessness in SA and its impact on the education of South Australian children and young people.

Speakers include:

• The SA commissioner for Children and Young People, Helen Connolly
• Professor Gerry Redmond (Flinders University, College of Business, Government and Law)
• Meredith Edwards (Former Principal of Category 2 School, Index of Educational Disadvantage)
• Kelly Bunyon (Principal of Compass Catholic Community).

Light lunch from 12pm, forum begins at 12.30pm.
