POWER BOTANY 14 + SPORE PLAY
Queer Bushwalking Club with Solly AND Fungi Walk with guest curator Todd Huang
Meet at 11:00am at the trailhead for Forest Path walk in Royal National Park.
Track is about 4.4km and mostly flat. We will walk pretty slow to observe the fungi as much as possible :) More track details here
Wear sturdy close toed shoes, please bring plenty of water (at least 2 L), and some lunch.
Expect a lush rainforest creek, wet Sclerophyll forest, and autumn mushrooms and fungi fruiting like a morning erection!
Todd Huang is an enthusiastic mycologist and a specialist in webcap mushrooms (Cortinarius). He's got an encyclopaedic knowledge of all our native fungi and he loves to share that knowledge!
We will be walking on Dharawal land. This is and always will be Aboriginal land. Please be respectful of this land and think about indigenous peoples' ongoing care and connection to this land and waters.
