From forests to farmland, climate to coastlines, communities across regional NSW are stepping up to protect the places they love. This year’s NCC Online Regional Conference will bring those people together.

Join grassroots organisers, community groups, campaigners and volunteers from across the state for a day of connection, learning, and action.

Our theme: People, Power, Place

This year’s theme reflects what makes environmental action work:

People - the relationships, leadership, and communities driving change

Power - how we organise, influence decision-makers, and win campaigns

Place - the landscapes, ecosystems, and communities we’re working to protect

Together, we’ll explore how to turn local passion into collective power, and how to make real progress in the lead-up to the next state election.

NEW: Program now announced

This year's conference features a keynote from Erin Killion (Hunter Community Alliance) on building community power and winning change, plus practical workshops on:

Meeting with MPs and candidates
Planning and development advocacy
Native forest logging and citizen science
Climate and energy campaigning
Land clearing in western NSW

Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with others from across the state during our facilitated "What's Your Campaign?" Lunch and Chat.

Keynote speaker: Erin Killion

We’re excited to welcome Erin Killion from Hunter Community Alliance as keynote speaker for this year’s conference.

Erin is a community organiser who works across unions, faith groups, community organisations and local leaders in the Hunter region, helping build collective power around issues of climate, justice and regional transition.

Her work speaks directly to this year’s theme, People, Power, Place, and the practical work of building strong, connected movements for nature in regional NSW.

What to expect

🌱Lunch and Chat: What's Your Campaign?

Connect with other attendees from across NSW during a facilitated small-group discussion. Share the campaign, project or issue you're working on, hear what others are doing in their communities, and explore opportunities to learn from one another and build new connections.

💡 A space to showcase and celebrate regional leadership
Throughout the day, we’ll highlight the work of groups across NSW and create a shared “map” of projects, people, and priorities across the network.
