Event description
The Power of Her – Empowering Women in Sport
The Integrated Murraylands Physical Activity Committee (IMPAC), in partnership with the Rural City of Murray Bridge, is proud to present 'The Power of Her'—an inspiring event dedicated to celebrating and empowering women in sport.
Join us for an unforgettable day in the heart of the Murraylands, where we celebrate the achievements of women in sport and explore ways to empower the next generation of female leaders. The event will be opened by Minister Katrine Hildyard MP.
Jaylee Cooper from Catherine House will be the event's MC, and we're excited to announce that $5 from every ticket sold will be donated to Catherine House, aiding women experiencing homelessness.
Our incredible line-up of guest speakers includes:
- Dr Amber Halliday OLY – Keynote Speaker and Olympic rower
- Julie Anderson – Women's Sport Lead, Sport SA
- Kirsty Mead – The Embrace Collective
- Conny Wilson and Emma Grigson – Leaders from West Adelaide Football Club
- Eloise Hall - Co-Founder and Managing Director of TABOO Period Products
The Power of Her is more than just a celebration; it’s a platform for connection, learning and growth. Whether you're an athlete, coach, or advocate for women in sport, this event is designed to inspire and empower you to lead with confidence.
IMPAC is made up of councils across the Murraylands region, including the Rural City of Murray Bridge, Coorong District Council, Mid Murray Council, Southern Mallee District Council and the District Council of Karoonda.
This event is the first regional edition following a successful run in Adelaide. It has been made possible by a grant from the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, with additional support from IMPAC.
