Honouring the importance of this women's knowledge in this intricate practice, theory and celebration-based four-hour workshop. For women exhausted fighting their hormones, wanting to work instead with them to move into the fullest potential of Self.
This workshop includes body movement to get deep into the endocrine system, breathwork to clear the mind of doubt, haste, confusion and fatigue, relaxation practices to rejoice the constitution - along with theory-based learning for the science behind the system, nutrition knowledge and daily practices to support it, as well as the spiritual knowledge to really expand our wings! Hormones are not the enemy, that is the falsity to disempower - it's time to remember! Hosted by Clinical Nutritionist, Tahlia Mynott (Luna Holistic Nutrition) and Yoga Therapist, Lissie Turner (The Yoga Shack), join us for a wonderful day of tuning in.
ABOUT THE HOSTS
Tahlia Mynott:
Tahlia has been a qualified Nutritionist since 2008. Since finding her speciality in Women's Health she feels like she has found her true calling in life. Tahlia's passion for woman's health stemmed from her own health journey where she suffered from PCOS, Amenhorrhea, Dysmenhorrhea, Cysts, Miscarriage and Hormonal Acne. Once she started researching and delving into woman's health (to support her own healing), she was shocked at what she didn't already know about her own body and equally as shocked by how many woman had no idea how their bodies worked or how to create balance in them.
Tahlia specialises in menstrual cycle issues, teaching fertility awareness method (charting), menstrual cycle awareness, pre conception plans, post partum support, pregnancy plans and yoni steaming.
Lissie Turner:
For 10 years Lissie was a broadcaster at triple j under her former name of Mel Bampton and is the creator of the globally loved segment 'Like A Version'. As a writer she has penned articles for the SMH, Tracks, jmag, Cleo, Cosmo, yen and authored a book under contract with Harper Collins, which may or may not, see the light of day. As the former National Media Manager of Soundwave Festival for six years, she honed her skills in 'only positive professionalism' and brings all of these seemingly different lives into a united whole, under her number one banner as a Communications Expert, meeting people from all walks of life, wherever they are at.
Lissie is a nationally registered Yoga Therapist having trained intensively for 3 years, with the former Director of KYM (Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram) and one of the world’s most experienced and recognized Yoga Therapists, Dr Natesan Chandrasekaran MD. She is the Owner of The Yoga Shack, North Byron and a fully accredited Level II Yoga Teacher. Lissie teaches for every body.
In clinic she specialises in endocrine health, addiction recovery, disturbances in the mind and deeper – anxiety, depression and associated disease pathology. Lissie utilises the tools of yoga to address the needs of individuals. She runs regular workshops on the fundamentals of breathwork, 21-Day Dissolving Patterns program, International retreats, Australian retreats with First Nations Elders, Womens Retreats and more.
