Power Sign Writing & Shou Sugi Ban
Event description
In this interactive and hands-on workshop you will learn how to use a router to freehand carve wooden signs (with any name/message you choose) and then finish them in the ancient Japanese method of Shou Sugi Ban. Nigel is a tradesman who specialises in classic woodworking, and dabbles in metal sculptural art.

*Students must be wearing eye protection for the duration of the workshop, hearing protection will be provided during router use. Directional control will be strictly adhered to for the burning phase of the Shou Sugi Ban treatment. All materials provided by tutor.
