Power Through Collaboration is Climate Action Network Australia’s annual member conference. At the heart of this event is the knowledge that we are more powerful when we work together. Power Through Collaboration is an opportunity for CANA members and our allies to collaborate, learn skills, strategise and build the power we need to win on climate action.

Power Through Collaboration is open to all CANA Members, First Nations Leaders and invited guests only. If you work or volunteer for a CANA member organisation: this conference is for you. 

In 2023 Power Through Collaboration will be held in-person on unceded Yuggara and Turrbal Country, Meanjin, so-called ‘Brisbane’. We pay our deep respects to the Yuggara and Turrbal peoples - in particular their Elders past and present - and acknowledge that sovereignty over this land was never ceded. 

All ticket prices include access to the entire 2 day event. No discounts can be given for partial attendance. Early bird tickets have now sold out.

VENUE
Power Through Collaboration will be run at The Brisbane Powerhouse, Meanjin (Brisbane). The Powerhouse is located at 119 Lamington St, New Farm QLD 4005

• 30 sessions of content across 2 days including panels, keynotes, workshops, breakouts, working group strategy sessions, interactive activities, relationship building, and demographic caucuses PLUS dedicated networking activities

• The chance to interact, learn from and build relationships with colleagues from 150 organisations working on climate action in Australia.

COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS FOR ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER PEOPLES AND PACIFIC ISLANDERS
In solidarity with Aboriginal, Torres Strait and Pacific Islander peoples and other First Nations leaders in the climate movement, tickets for all First Nations people are complimentary.
You can purchase these tickets through the ticket page by selecting the “First Nations Member or invited First Nations guest (Including Pacific Islanders)” ticket.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Financial support is available to some attendees to reduce barriers to participation; primarily for remote, under-represented, First Nations and Pacific Islander participants. Funds may be made available to cover costs of travel, ticket registration and accommodation for the conference. Please complete the financial support form to request this assistance.

COVID SAFETY AND INFECTIOUS DISEASE CONTROL
CANA is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all conference participants and we ask that all attendees do the same by following the below guidelines.
While there are no specific public health directions in place form the Queensland Government, CANA is committed to ensuring the conference has safety measures in place to allow all members to participate in the conference, including those who are immunocompromised.
We strongly encourage you to take a RAT test before travelling to the conference. If you have cold and flu-like symptoms we ask that you do not attend the conference.
To mitigate the risk of spreading COVID19 and other infectious diseases CANA will be taking the following precautions during the conference:

• We ask all conference participants to wear a mask when inside the building and ask that you only remove them when presenting, eating or drinking, or when you are outside. We encourage you to bring your own mask but they will also be available at the venue.
• Mask wearing for CANA Staff and Volunteers is mandated.
• Hand sanitising stations will be available at each level of the building, in high traffic areas such as registration desks, catering tables and the creche.
• Hand held mics and communal laptops will be sanitised between sessions.
• RAT tests will be available on site for those who develop symptoms during the conference. If you start developing cold and flu-like symptoms during the conference we ask that you take a RAT test and return to your accommodation to await results. If symptoms persist despite testing negative we would encourage attendees to remain at their accommodation until they no longer have symptoms to reduce the risk of spreading any illness.
• We will be monitoring and enforcing room capacity limits.
