Overview

With five generations in the workforce, a bi-cultural nation with a population represented around six ethnic groups, a global war for talent that is about to heat up as borders open – how do you create and harness the power of a diverse team? How do you innovate and add value to your markets without it?

You will be involved in learning and discussing why it matters, review real examples, how it looks when done well and some challenges, and talk through how and where to start. We’ll also look at how to be a great leader when creating and harnessing the power of a diverse team.

By the end of this foundational skills course, the discussion, tools and techniques you will have been exposed to will enable you to:

1. Learn about what diversity and inclusion mean in an organisational context and how that translates to performance outcomes

2. Gather insight on current models and determine which ones are meaningful and what’s topical

3. Understand what impact true diversity can have for your venture

4. Have confidence in debating the up and downsides of concepts like the Wisdom of Crowds and Group Think

5. In summary, you will be able to wade through the noise around diversity and inclusion and have clarity about what matters, why it matters, and develop a roadmap to achieve this.

This course is $1500pp including GST and Humanitix booking fees.
