Power Up the Sunny Coast: Renewable Energy Leadership Workshop
Event description
IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE: The Sat 24 Aug training at Beerwah Meeting Place has been cancelled. There is only one training on Sun 25 Aug at Maroochy Surf Club, 9.30am-5.30pm.
---
Are you interested in powering up the Sunny Coast by becoming a champion of renewable energy benefits - for households and communities?
Right now - we can work together to bring down power bills and reduce carbon emissions with renewable energy. Otherwise, we risk expensive, polluting coal fired power and the threat of nuclear power.
Between now and COP31 in December 2026, your voice really matters. That’s why we want to pass you the microphone and turn up the volume!
Come along to learn more about renewable energy benefits, and get free media training with Communications Director Jane Garcia.
This free workshop will bring together Solar Citizens, Sunshine Coast Environment Council, South Queensland Community Alliance, Queensland Community Alliance and The Climate Reality Project Australia & Pacific to power up renewable energy on the Sunshine Coast!
The training is on Sunday 25 August, Maroochy Surf Club, 9:30am - 5:30pm. Wholesome lunch will be provided.
