    Event description

Is tech your next step? If you have a passion for health, the environment, equity, education or pretty much anything else – tech could be the career for you. You don’t have to be passionate about tech to pursue a career in tech – some of the most successful tech businesses in Canterbury were started to solve a real-world problem, with tech being the enabler.

Following the success of our first event in August, we are pleased to offer another Career in Tech event on Wednesday, 26th October. Whether you attended our last event or not, come along to this free, informal event to meet a range of local tech businesses across a variety of sectors, find out more about what they do & learn what skills and experience they are looking for as they grow their teams.

The New Zealand tech industry is a dynamic, fast-growing industry to work in. It offers higher than average salaries, a variety of roles and great career opportunities. The tech sector has an ongoing need for employees across all sorts of roles, and it’s not just coding or sitting in front of a computer! If you’re looking for a career change and have good communication skills, are a team player and like solving real-world problems, a career in tech could be for you.

    Refreshments will be served.

Brought to you by ChristchurchNZ, Canterbury Tech & Webtools.
