The Periods, Pain and Endometriosis Program (PPEP Talk®) is an initiative of the Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia (PPFA), jointly funded by the Federal and State Governments.

ACT Down Syndrome and Intellectual Disability is hosting PPEP Talk® for parents and carers:

WHEN: Monday the 25th of November at 6pm
WHERE: Building 2, Level 1, Pearce Community Centre, Collett Pl, Pearce, ACT.

Understanding severe period pain can be tricky for everyone but especially for those managing complex health challenges. PPEP Talk® is here to better equip people to understand period and pelvic pain.
This session provides caregivers with key knowledge on how to recognise and manage pain, support others and stay involved in important activities.
PPFA is committed to supporting people who suffer severe period pain, pelvic pain and endometriosis to allow them to fulfill their potential and live their best life possible.

The FREE Program includes:

a one-hour positive, fun, educational and interactive program discussing period pain, pelvic pain and endometriosis.
recognition of pain patterns and what is abnormal period pain.
different management strategies for heavy bleeding, painful periods & associated symptoms when and where to seek further help for pain management.

PPEP Talk® is for everyone, it is inclusive of age, culture, and gender. It helps those who experience pelvic pain better understand their pain and find tools to deal with it. It helps those who support them better understand what they go through and how to best support them.
