Expressions of Interest
We invite LGBTQIA+ poets, spoken word artists and performance groups to propose work for OUT of Line during WA Pride Month. Whether your approach is fierce, playful, experimental or reflective, we welcome emerging and established artists. Selected performers will receive an agreed performance fee. Everyone who submits a genuine EOI is entitled to complimentary admission, whether or not selected to perform. Complimentary Humanitix tickets will be arranged separately.

OUT of Line is where poetry gets loud, weird, and wonderfully unruly.
Showcasing a fierce and fabulous line-up of bold, boundary-breaking voices from the queer community, OUT of Line brings the rebellious pulse of Perth Poetry Festival to life this WA Pride Month. A celebration of voices that queer the mic, break the rules, and bite back.
Every identity. Every expression. Every one of us.
Expect poetry that refuses to behave. Words that provoke, seduce, unsettle, and surprise. Performances that move between the fiercely political and the deeply personal, the outrageous and the tender, the hilarious and the heartbreakingly honest.
Our annual festival Queer Poetry Showcase, OUT of Line is a celebration of queer identities, lived experiences, and the freedom to speak without fear, shame or boundaries. A space where stories are reclaimed, differences celebrated, and every voice is free to be heard on its own terms.
This year, OUT of Line takes over the Royale Theatre at Planet Royale, in the vibrant heart of Northbridge. Presented in collaboration with Pride in Swan Inc., the evening brings together poets, storytellers, artists and community members for a spirited celebration of poetry, pride, solidarity, and creative rebellion.

We believe poetry should be accessible to everyone. If the cost of a ticket is a barrier, complimentary tickets are available. Please contact WA Poets Inc to arrange one.
