Event Description

Join us for the fifth edition of Pao’s Photo Sessions — a 2-hour collaborative studio shoot designed for photographers of all experience levels.

Hosted at LUMI Studio in Box Hill North, this session features two styled sets and five dynamic models, offering an open-format shoot perfect for building your portfolio and connecting with fellow creatives.

As part of a new initiative for environmental sustainability, if you’ve attended a previous PPS event and received a lanyard, please bring it along. New attendees will receive one on the day. BYO lanyard if you have one.

Getting There

Important: Google Maps may route you through a confusing alley. Please enter via Lexton Road. Look for an orange “R&E” sign on the right-hand side. Drive down that alley—LUMI is the last black-painted factory on the right.

Parking

• Free onsite parking (only in spaces marked LUMI or fabrik)
• 6 dedicated visitor spots halfway down the alley
• 2 parks directly in front of LUMI
• Additional free all-day parking at the corner of Lexton & Middleborough Rd
• Free 2-hour parking available along parts of Lexton Road

Public Transport

• Bus 270 or 279 from Box Hill Central
• 15-minute walk from Laburnum Station (Belgrave/Lilydale Line)

FAQs

What should I bring?
Bring your own gear—camera, lenses, memory cards, lighting, etc. The space is large and flexible, perfect for any setup.

Is this event suitable for beginners?
Yes. PPS5 welcomes all skill levels. It's a great environment to learn, create, and collaborate with other photographers.

How many photographers will be attending?
Approximately 30–40 photographers.

How does the shoot run?
There’s no fixed rotation. Models will move freely through the sets, allowing photographers to interact and shoot as they like.

Can I use the images in my portfolio or on social media?
Yes—images can be used freely. For behind-the-scenes content, please get consent, as a dedicated BTS team will be present. Tag and invite @paophotosessions to collab if you'd like your work featured.

Will there be lighting equipment provided?
No—please bring your own if you wish to use lighting.

What happens if I can’t attend after booking?
No refunds or cancellations. However, your payment will become credit toward the next event. You’ll just pay the difference if the price changes.

Will there be food or drinks?
Yes—snacks and light refreshments will be provided.

Can I bring a friend or assistant?
No. One ticket per person. All attendees must be registered.
