Practical and low-cost home energy efficiency- City of Whittlesea Sustainable Communities Workshop Series 2024

This no-cost, in-person workshop is part of the City of Whittlesea's Sustainable Communities Workshop Series 2024. 

Is your home too hot in the summer? Too cold in the winter? If so, join us as Lucinda Flynn of Going Green Solutions will show practical ways to make your home more comfortable. With a focus on simple, low-cost upgrades, this workshop is geared toward anyone who wants to make some fast improvements and are happy to do some simple DIY.

We will cover:

• Context of home energy efficiency in Vic
• Draught proofing 
• Ceiling insulation 
• Windows (coverings, pelmets, glazing, DIY clear acrylic, bubble wrap, etc)
• External shading
• Low cost appliance upgrades 
• Rebates and financial incentives

Snacks will be provided.

This workshop is for those aged 18+.

Registration is required.

The CoW Sustainable Communities Workshop Series aims to up-skill City of Whittlesea community members in the art of sustainable, climate-resilient living and community-building. 

Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions to be entered into a prize drawing at the series' end. Every workshop participant will also receive a certificate of recognition for their participation and have the opportunity to share their learnings and creations at the celebration showcase in November 2024.
