This no-cost, online workshop is part of the 2024 City of Whittlesea's Sustainable Communities Workshop Series

Join Lucinda Flynn, accredited scorecard assessor and energy efficiency trainer of Going Green Solutions for this overview of home energy efficiency. This workshop is geared towards home-owners or those with the ability to make upgrades to their homes. We will focus on the things that impact cost and comfort, all elements involved, and how to prioritise and upgrade different aspects of your home.

We will cover in this workshop:

  • Context of home energy efficiency in Vic
  • Key impacts on home energy efficiency and comfort
  • Building shell
  • Coverings & Pelmets
  • Glazing (including double, secondary glazing and low cost/DIY)
  • External shading
  • Appliances
  • Rebates, financial incentives, resources and more help

Registration is required. 

The CoW Sustainable Communities Workshop Series aims to up-skill City of Whittlesea community members in the art of sustainable, climate-resilient living and community-building. 

Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions to be entered into a prize drawing at the series' end. Every workshop participant will also receive a certificate of recognition for their participation and have the opportunity to share their learnings and creations at the celebration showcase in November 2024.
