The session will cover:
The pathway to admission – what you need to know about PLT and admission in Western Australia
What you’ll learn – an overview of the practical skills and areas of legal practice covered in the course
Practical experience – understanding the work experience requirements, including opportunities through the John Curtin Law Clinic
Learning at Curtin – practical, face-to-face seminars and workshops with experienced legal practitioners
Study and assessment – course structure, assessment, and key dates
Your questions answered – an opportunity to speak with the PLT team about your next steps to admission and practising law in Australia.
Curtin’s PLT program is the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and is approved by the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia. It is the only PLT program delivered by a WA university.
With a focus on practical learning and face to face delivery, the course develops skills across areas including civil litigation, commercial and corporate practice, property law, advocacy, dispute resolution, legal drafting and interviewing.
