Authentic Practice: Featuring Elemental Dance

You are warmly invited to arrive from 1:30pm to enjoy nourishment, refreshments, and reconnection with peers as you settle into the space.

We will gather around the fire, where Laura will guide us through a grounding practice and open our shared container.

At 2:00pm You will be invited to join us in the studio for Elemental Dance.

Lauren welcomes us into her Authentic Practice, guiding us to connect with the elements—earth, air, fire, water, and spirit—through a dynamic movement journey. This exploration will culminate in a rich dance language, one that welcomes improvisation as both personal and communal expression.

Drawing on inspiration from earth-based spiritual paths and Middle Eastern, Romani, and global fusion dance forms, Lauren will support us in:

Connecting movement with breath and sound
Cultivating curiosity through mirrored movement
Practicing the basics of moving together in group or “tribe” formations using geometric shapes

You are invited to witness, experience, and explore:

The space will be held with a lush and eclectic soundscape to inspire and support attunement to your unique rhythm.

This offering is open to all bodies and genders.
Movements are gentle invitations—adaptable to all levels of confidence and ability.
No prior dance experience is needed.

Please wear comfortable, layered clothing that allows for ease, warmth, freedom, and flow.
Beautiful, fringed shawls will be available to adorn your hips, should you wish to enhance your sensory experience.

We will move within a gently held, inclusive space—co-creating with the elements, awakening our inner rhythms, and dancing into deeper connection: with self, with others, and with the earth beneath our feet.

From 4pm to 5pm –Space will be open for interpersonal learning and shared experiences. We will close the container with a gentle meditative practice as a collective.

Authentic Practice is an experiential space for Creative Arts Therapists to connect, create, play, and progress. It invites you to engage and evolve your professional practice within a supportive circle of colleagues—fostering embodied learning, reflective insight, and meaningful exchange.
