Description

The Practice Conversation Series is an opportunity to connect with practitioners across the sector to share practice, learn from each other, and strengthen practice through collective reflection and discussion.

WorkUP Queensland is pleased to offer a series of brief online Practice Conversations exploring key topics identified through engagement with the sexual violence, domestic and family violence, and women’s health and wellbeing sectors across Queensland.

These sessions are designed as interactive learning conversations rather than traditional training workshops. While facilitators will share practice wisdom, resources, and sector-informed frameworks, the primary learning occurs through discussion, reflection, and engagement with peers. Conversations will draw on relevant practice standards, capability frameworks, legislation, and sector guidance to support critical reflection and strengthen practice across diverse service contexts.

Participants are required to attend with cameras on and be prepared to actively contribute to discussion and reflection activities. These sessions are  offered for workers seeking collaborative, practice-based learning rather than passive webinar-style participation.

Practice Conversations provide an opportunity to:

  • Explore contemporary practice issues with peers across Queensland

  • Reflect on practice in a supportive and respectful environment

  • Build confidence and skills across a range of practice areas

  • Strengthen understanding of sector-informed frameworks, standards, and approaches

  • Develop language to describe and articulate practice, including in organisational and audit contexts
