Event description

In this workshop we explore and learn some simple, easy to do techniques that help to bring about balance in our lives.
We are living in an age where we are bombarded with information, from multiple directions, plus the added stress of just existing in times where everything is uncertain.
The effect this has on our nervous system can be huge and as the body is an adaptive machine, can often go unnoticed for a long time.
With different practices we can use daily if wanted, that require no equipment, just our time and presence, we can reset our nervous system, create energy and give us deeper sense of wellbeing.
Along with this we can increase our overall health and wellness, which spills over into our everyday lives and gives us the capacity to cope with the challenges of life.
The tools explored are:
Qi Gong - this ancient art has been used for thousands of years around the world, originating in China.
It focuses on the life force energy that runs through the body and this can be harnessed, moved and released when needed. A handful of easy, straightforward techniques, is all you need to maintain health and balance the body.

Breathing Techniques - like qi gong, the use of the breath to alter our physiological state, create altered states of consciousness and regulate our nervous system has been utilised for thousands of years. You'll learn a few different techniques for calming yourself and relieving anxiety,  as well techniques for overall health.

Meditation - another practice that has survived the evolution of humans over thousands of years and is scientifically proven to provide us with huge benefits, in both the physical sense and mental/emotional. Meditation allows us to cope better with the pressures of life and control the ever wayward mind.
An introduction to meditation and chance to try it in a group setting, which always increases it potency.

Nervous System Reset Techniques - the body can be influenced and adjusted with simple eye movements and certain holds. An easy, safe and effective way to help us regulate the nervous system and these can be done anytime.

This workshop is for men and women, as everyone is in need of balance in their lives.

Bring a yoga mat (if you have one, I have some available for use if not), water and an open mind.
