Pre-cut Collaging with Max Malone from That Paper Joint
Event description
Join us for an exclusive workshop as we welcome Max Malone from Melbourne's first collage studio, That Paper Joint!
Work with pre-cut pieces to create loose arrangements which will allow for experimentation and freedom to attempt more ambitious designs. Max will then digitally scan your creation during the workshop so you'll leave with a high-resolution edited image, yours to keep and share!
Please note: The pre-cut images provided have been personally prepared by Max and are only for use during the session, (as they are time-intensive to produce and intended for reuse in future workshops,) and cannot be taken home.
Knowledge required: No skills or cutting required, all levels welcome.
Suitable for children ages 10+ years. Note: children under 13 years must be accompanied by a ticket-paying guardian.
What you'll get: All materials supplied, including pre-cut pieces from Max's collection as well as clippings featured in the book, Cut-out Curiosities: Botanica.
Optional: Bring your own special photo, cut-out, ticket stub or memento to incorporate into your collage piece.
Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours.
Workshop price: $75 (plus booking fee and GST) and includes a copy of Cut-out Curiosities: Botanica.
Refund policy: Refunds available up to 10 June. Please contact Kinokuniya to request a refund. Note, Humanitix's fee is non-refundable. No refunds will be given for non-attendance at the workshop.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Maximillian Malone is a Melbourne-based artist with a fascination and, if truly honest, near obsession with the world of collage. He gathers old books, magazine and other ephemera from flea markets, vintage fairs, junkyards and even bins, and repurposed their flaking pages into new works of art.
Max is co-owner of That Paper Joint: a magical place dedicated to collage, making art and running workshops.
