Pre-Hospital Emergency Care
Event description
The Tasmanian Rural Generalist Pathway (TRGP) is offering the opportunity for new rural generalist Fellows to undertake the ACRRM Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (PHEC) course this October.
The course is designed to equip you with the essential skills to respond to emergencies in the unpredictable and high-pressure pre-hospital environment. Whether you are working in rural, remote, or First Nations communities, this course prepares you to respond to real-world situations outside of traditional healthcare settings.
Through a combination of interactive online learning, and an immersive hands-on face-to-face workshop, you will be supported to translate your existing clinical skills to the pre-hospital setting and gain the confidence and expertise to handle a variety of emergency scenarios, ensuring you are ready to provide effective patient care wherever needed.
Developed by seasoned rural generalists and pre-hospital care specialists, PHEC offers outdoor, realistic training to simulate the challenges of pre-hospital care. You will master the delivery of life-saving interventions in a range of challenging contexts, while improving your ability to think quickly, act decisively, and perform under pressure in unfamiliar environments.
Fellows accepted onto the Tasmanian Rural Generalist Pathway will have their course registration fee, one night's accommodation in Devonport on Monday 13 October and welcome dinner fully sponsored by the TRGP.
A deposit of $250 is required to purchase a ticket and will be refunded on completion of the PHEC Course.
