Preaching the (Sustainable) Gospel
276 Mount Albert Road
auckland, new zealand
Event description
This Gathering will seek to equip us to preach more sustainably. Together, we will share our experiences and engage in discussions that will;
- Highlight the theological significance of celebrating the Season of Creation within the context of mainline Protestant beliefs
- Review some of the main Season of Creation Resources available for use, including a new resource from the Methodist Church of NZ
- Help us gain insights, tools and resources for integrating sustainability themes into our preaching and worship
The session will be led by Peter Lane, a member of the Methodist Church’s Climate Justice Working Group. Peter has been actively working to “make the world a better place” since he attended a WCC Seminar on “Green Churches: Ecology, Theology & Justice in Practice” in June 2014.
Don't forget Bibles, hymn books and prayers.
