Do you feel confident knowing what to do in an emergency?
The workshop ‘Securing Your Safety in an Emergency' will include expert presentations from Sutherland Shire Council, Sutherland Shire Police Area Command, State Emergency Services, Rural Fire Service and Australian Red Cross.
Participants will receive updated information about each emergency response agency and learn which emergency apps to use. In addition, you will receive valuable tools to use which will assist you to be prepared for an emergency.
There will be opportunities to work on real life scenario situations will skilled professionals.
At the conclusion of the workshop attendees will be able to:
· Understand the role of each emergency agency
· Understand where to receive accurate information regarding local emergencies
· Learn how to develop emergency plans
· Obtain practical resources to share with your clients living in the community
