The Geeveston Art Show is delighted to present the first workshop in our Artist Development Programme - proudly sponsored by the Huon Valley Community Bank.
Thanks to Bendigo's generous sponsorship, all the workshops in our programme are FREE OF CHARGE to participants throughout the Art Show!
This workshop PREPARING YOUR ART TO SHOW is targeted at artists who are new to (or want a refresher in) putting their artwork into shows and exhibitions. We will cover:
- Breaking down the entry form
- Dimensions and why they are important
- Photographing your work
- Mounting and Framing options
- D-Rings and Picture Wire
- Writing your Biography
- Artists Photos
- General Q&A
Your workshop leaders are John Osborne and Trish Tinkler John is an Artist and Teacher, Trish is an old hand at running Art Shows and other large-scale events.
Tea and Coffee will be provided. Whilst the Art Show submissions are limited to ages 16 & Up, we welcome all ages to our workshops as long as young people are supervised.
