Preparing Your Garden, and Yourself, for Bushfires.
Description
We can do a lot to improve the chances of our homes surviving a bushfire – whether or not anyone is there to defend it. And mostly this depends on the 100 metres around your home and particularly in your garden.
As a long-term resident in fire prone areas of Victoria and South Australia, Danielle Clode has been actively involved in bushfire preparation and recovery for over 30 years. She’s worked as a researcher for the Victorian CFS, published A Future in Flames, a history of Australian bushfires and currently liaises with Adelaide Hills Council to promote community led bushfire resilience.
