Event description
Presbyterian Church Schools Conference 2025
Hope & Sustainability
Join us for the 2025 Presbyterian Church Schools Conference, a two-day gathering hosted by St Andrew’s College and Rangi Ruru Girls’ School, where we explore the theme of Hope & Sustainability through faith, service, and action.
Set against the backdrop of two leading Presbyterian schools, this event brings together educators, chaplains and leaders for thought-provoking discussions, inspiring keynotes, and hands-on experiences that celebrate sustainability in education and community service. The conference is suitable for board members, principals, and other leaders from Presbyterian Church Schools.
🕊️ Day One at St Andrew’s College will feature engaging speakers, including Professor Wolfgang Rack, a renowned glaciologist, and Rt Rev Hamish Galloway, who will discuss sustainability through a biblical lens. With breakout sessions tailored for chaplains, principals, and board members, attendees will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen connections. The day concludes with a special evening of pre-dinner drinks and entertainment, followed by a conference dinner at St Andrew’s College—a chance to continue conversations in a relaxed and collegial setting.
🌱 Day Two at Rangi Ruru Girls’ School will be a hands-on exploration of hope and sustainability in action. The day will begin with a keynote address from Mapihi Martin-Paul, an expert in environmental and cultural sustainability from Boffa Miskell, who will share insights on weaving sustainability into our communities and schools. Attendees will also engage in an interactive session on Appreciative Inquiry, a student-led discussion on giving hope in the moment, and a visit to Rangi Ruru’s sustainable garden project, contributing to a meaningful legacy by planting for the future.
This conference is an opportunity to connect, reflect, and be inspired—all within the supportive and forward-thinking community of Presbyterian education.
The conference will begin at 9am (arrival from 8:15am) on Thursday 31 July, and conclude at 3pm on Friday 1 August.
Please note you can register for the full conference and dinner, or individually for each day and the dinner.
