    This is the Friday evening dance, a taster of the PRESENCE workshop that is open to all.

    How does it feel to wholly inhabit our entire self on the emotional plane?
    What does it mean to be at home in relation to our emotions, and other’s?

    The heart is usually attributed to our emotions yet strong feelings are often experienced in the belly, mouth, the back of our bodies, or gut.
    In other words, all areas of our body are capable of feeling and expressing emotion.

    In this conscious dance workshop we build emotional intelligence on the dance floor. We put into movement what has been locked up in our bodies, into a dance that invites us to step into the hidden world of wisdom and expression waiting below our skin.

    We will navigate the embodiment of our emotions shelved in our bodies with the help of the 4 Wild Hungers, delving into the very human nature of how we hunger for relationship.

    The Hunger for Solitude - Relationship to self
    The Hunger for Connection - Relationship to another
    The Hunger for Belonging - Relationship to group
    The Hunger Spirit - Relationship to Source

    Balancing these relational hungers is the challenge of our time, we mindfully inquire when we open our bodies and let them speak -

    What part of me has forgotten how to feel?
    Where am I stuck, hurt or armoured up?
    Who do I gravitate towards?
    What propels me to fly around the room and What makes my body sing with others?

    Over the weekend we will
    -Build sensate awareness and learn to move more freely and expressively through an in-depth exploration and embodiment of the Open Floor Core
    Movement Resources.
    - Develop our emotional intelligence and awareness as movers
    - Get the body singing fluidly from the inside out and the outside in.
    - Expand our expressive movement vocabulary beyond what we think we already have
    - Support each other in becoming more articulate, authentic and embodied as a community of dancers

    We utilise conscious dance to turn up in life's journey, to embody our emotions as we listen and respond with our bodies. The purpose of our work is to embody emotional intelligence, becoming fluid, resilient and authentic, bringing mindfulness and PRESENCE to our lives.

    Participants may book for the weekend at the end of this taster session if there are still places available.
