Presence from Pre to Post: Rituals for performance seasons with producer, performer and multidisciplinary artist Fran Middleton, offers a series of 3 sessions to support performers and creative teams before, during and after performance seasons. A step-by-step series that guides the artist through the entire creative process: Pre-season; Show season; Post season. See below for a breakdown of each session:

Session 1: Beginning (Pre season) - Tuning in. Acknowledging what you're working with. Creating relationship with self, space and group. Setting intentions. Rehearsal rituals.

Session 2: Middle (Show season) - Practices to incorporate energetic awareness and abundance throughout your performance season. Regulating the nervous system and cleaning the slate with breath, voice and movement before each show.

Session 3: End (Post season) - All things must pass, and when a show is over, reflection and nurturing can help you feel your way through to the next season of your life. Rather than seeing it as going 'back to life, back to reality' this session helps you integrate the experiences of the show into your continued artist practice.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Fran Middleton is a producer, performer and multidisciplinary artist who loves to explore and inspire presence. Born in WA around Boorloo and Walyalup (Perth and Fremantle) to a family with a mix of roots, she feels connected to the earth and all beings more than any particular human culture. Fran has a background in devising and performing theatre and comedy shows, composing music and teaching voice, music and improv, and has developed an interest in exploring the crossover between spirituality and performance, drawing on her ongoing yoga, meditation and sound healing practices. She has a BA in Contemporary Performance from WAAPA/ECU, has completed courses through Rainbow Sounds, Sounds True, and The Four Winds society, and continues to tune into the teachings reflected to us in everything, to let her embodied experience be her teacher along the way too. Through trusting her path as it unfolds, with gratitude for this life and commitment to practicing openness, mindfulness and compassion, Fran is inspired to contribute in some way to the happiness and freedom for all.
