Event description

Are you wondering what to do with all that fruit ripening now on your trees?

What about those in season tomatoes?

Would you like the skills to be able to bottle your fruit and turn tomatoes into delicious tomato savoury to last you through the winter?

Join experienced preserver and bottler, Marion Perkins, to learn how to preserve those precious foods - for yourself and to share with others.

We will make tomato savoury - which is bottled in regular jars and can be used throughout the year instead of buying can tomatoes or pasta sauce.
Marion will also guide us in how to bottle pears and apples, using preserving jars.

In this practical workshop, under Marion's guidance, participants will have a go at all the steps in the bottling process. There will be plenty of time to ask Marion all your preserving and bottling questions. Head home with the skills and confidence to turn your autumn produce into something you can enjoy year round, as well as a jar of something you've helped make.

Tickets are $10 (+booking fees) - this helps us pay for the venue hire, ingredients required and preserving jars. Limited to 12 people, so get your ticket today!

All ingredients & equipment will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring preserving jars if you have them, an apron and perhaps your favourite knife to use.
