Prevent, Teach, Reinforce for Young Children (PTR-YC) is a research‐proven, family‐centered approach used in early childhood settings nationwide to resolve persistent challenging behaviors. The model is intended to help young children whose behaviors are serious enough that they interfere with the child’s ability to engage in positive relationships, form friendships, play with others, and learn expected skills. This training helps you understand how children in your care are communicating their needs, what they find challenging, and strategies to support them going forward.

Day One: Monday, November 9 (8:00am - 12:00pm MST)

Day Two: Tuesday, November 10 (8:00am - 12:00pm MST)

* Participants must attend and actively engage in all 8 hours of training to receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training.

Who should attend?

This training benefits multi-disciplinary coaches, consultants, and other providers supporting children and families with behavior intervention processes including, but not limited to: Early Interventionist, ECMHCs, School Districts & Head Start, Behavior Specialists, School Psychologists, Child Find Specialists, Coaches, and more! This training is available to both Colorado and non-Colorado residents.

Book: The Prevent, Teach, Reinforce for Young Children book is a required text for this training and is included in the registration fee at a discounted price. Participants who enroll will receive the book by mail prior to the first day of training.
