    Professor of Clinical Psychology

    Professor Julia Rucklidge, a clinical psychologist and Director of Te Puna Toiora at the University of Canterbury and on the PREKURE faculty, focuses on nutritional interventions for mental health. With over 150 publications and global talks, she co-authored "The Better Brain" and delivered a TEDx talk with over 5 million views. Julia's clinical trials on micronutrients and mental illness have earned her numerous accolades, including the Ballin Award and recognition as one of New Zealand's top 100 influential women. She advocates for nutrition as a foundation for preventing and recovering from mental health challenges.

    Louise Schofield is the co-founder and CEO of PREKURE, NZ's leading Professional Health Coaching education institute. With a PhD in behaviour change, Louise is a successful entrepreneur. Previously she spent 15 years leading businesses in the corporate wellbeing industry and developing behaviour change programs to achieve positive wellbeing outcomes. Louise’s mission is to inspire a change in medicine to be more preventative in focus. She is passionate about eliminating the over-prescribing of medication that offers little or no benefit, poor nutritional advice and programs that don’t work, and for the medical community to embrace a preventative, lifestyle medicine approach.

    Dr. Olivia Currie, a dual-qualified Family and Lifestyle Medicine doctor, has 18 years of experience. She holds fellowships with RNZCGP and ASLM, and postgraduate diplomas in Child Health and General Practice. Practicing at Real Healthy Me in Christchurch, Dr. Currie empowers patients through holistic lifestyle changes, integrating nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress management to prevent and reverse chronic diseases. Her team provides personalised health coaching to support physical, emotional, and mental well-being, helping patients live their best lives.
