After four fabulous years, the iconic Australian Wearable Art Festival (AWAF) is back in 2025 with a couple of fresh twists! Whether you’re a long-time member of our wearable art community or a first-time visitor, we’re excited to invite you to a fully immersive experience like never before.

For those new to the festival, the Australian Wearable Art Festival is Australia’s premier showcase of wearable art, where 40 extraordinary national and international artworks come to life in a breathtaking fusion of fashion and sculptural artistry. In 2025, we’re introducing two exciting new categories — Elements of Nature and Abstract Form — alongside our beloved favourites, Avant Garde and Trashion.

The festival’s iconic 27-metre catwalk is back and better than ever, with an upgraded lighting experience that goes beyond the traditional runway. Picture everything from rock-star intensity to moody, atmospheric effects that elevate the show to new heights.

With three esteemed judges and increased prize money, the calibre of entries is higher than ever. In addition to taking in the spectacle, purchase from a selection of delicious hot and cold food, sip on the famous Sunshine & Sons’ cocktails, and mingle with the artists and models. Capture photos, soak in the inspiration, and be part of an event that celebrates creativity, style, and innovation like never before.

Choose from general admission tickets or elevate your experience with a VIP upgrade. While there are no bad seats in the house, if you want to channel your inner Anna Wintour and be front and centre, a VIP ticket is the way to go.

As a VIP, you’ll enjoy exclusive perks, including a backstage tour where you’ll get a sneak peek at the incredible artworks before they hit the catwalk. Introducing the Preview Performance – a special new addition to the AWAF Program

The Preview Performance is a brand-new feature for the Australian Wearable Art Festival, our first opportunity to see the show and at an affordable price. These tickets grant access to the very first performance of the season—our full dress rehearsal, where everything comes together for the first time after final preparations.

We believe everyone should have the chance to experience the magic of wearable art, which is why we’ve priced these tickets to make the show accessible to all. Whether you’re a student, concession holder, or someone who’s been saving up for a special night out, this is your opportunity to be part of something extraordinary.

The Preview Performance is our gift back to the Sunshine Coast community—come and join us as we launch an unforgettable season of wearable art!
